SHAKE AND BAKE: Meth manufacturers use new method to create toxic drug

“A new style of making methamphetamine has become increasingly popular in Southeast Missouri over the past year, leading to two confirmed busts in the Stoddard County area just last week. The “Shake and Bake” method, whose name is derived from the process of putting the chemicals in a container and shaking them up and letting them cook, has increased the number of busts in Dunklin County from 10 per year to 10 per month, according to Lt. Tim Trowbridge, commander of the Dunklin County Drug Task Force.”
