How Is The Trucking Industry Driving Toward Drug-Free Cabs?

Part 4 of the “In Safety There Are No Secrets” panel discussion.

While KLLM, Maverick USA and US Xpress are among a growing group of trucking firms augmenting the Department of Transportation mandated urine-based drug screens with Psychemedics hair drug testing, there is still an industry-wide issue with impaired drivers. Recently, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) launched the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to raise visibility between carriers on drivers who might be a risk to drive impaired.

In this short video, three VP’s of Safety share data on what the Clearinghouse is highlighting, give their insights on how programs like theirs can drive safer roadways and talk about the state of drug testing across their industry.
